Hess Midstream Partners

HESM 0.77%

—Up 7.7% premarket on low volume: The company said it is buying Hess Infrastructure Partners—a midstream energy joint venture that has a sizable interest in Hess Midstream’s oil and gas midstream assets—in a deal the companies value at $6.2 billion.


COST 1.36%

Wholesale—Down 1.2% premarket: The wholesale retailer said quarterly earnings rose less than expected from a year earlier, though same-store sales growth was in line with targets.


FB 2.74%

—Down 0.5% premarket: The social-media giant rose 2.7% Thursday, its best day since mid-June, paring some of its recent losses despite concerns about stricter regulations.

Tesla—Down 0.7% premarket: Shares of the electric-auto maker fell more than 4% Thursday after it reported a smaller-than-projected rise in third-quarter deliveries.

Uber Technologies—Down less than 0.1% premarket: The ride-hailing company’s stock rose 2.5% Thursday, trimming some of a recent slide after it launched an app aimed at pairing businesses with temporary workers.
