MENLO PARK, CA — With back to school prep in full swing, Facebook is providing bike repair and lunch boxes at its Belle Haven Community Mobile Market.

These markets work all year in multiple locations to help address those in the community who don’t have access to fresh, healthy food by selling local, organic produce at a discounted rate and hosting special back-to-school events this weekend.

The free bike repair clinic will be scheduled from 9 a.m. Sunday at the Menlo Park Library located at 413 Ivy Dr. The aim is to get students’ bikes ready for the school year, and each attendee will receive essential bike safety swag such as bells, lights and locks

It’s all part of Facebook’s effort to help students and their families prepare for the coming school year. At an event earlier this month, Facebook employees packed 500 backpacks with school supplies to donate to schools in partnership with Family Giving Tree.

Facebook is also donating 300 Chromebooks to Ravenswood Middle School, along with committing to supporting crossing guards for three local school districts.
