If you want to treat yourself to an Echo smart speaker then now is a good time.
Amazon has just cut the price of its standard Echo by £30 meaning you pick one of the popular devices up for just £59.99.
As well as that decent discount there’s also the option the pay for this intelligent music maker in instalments.
Amazon is even offering zero per cent interest allowing customers to pay £12 per month for five months.
All three colours are available at this lower price with Amazon’s website showing Sandstone, Heather Grey and Charcoal all available and in stock.
As a quick reminder, the Amazon Echo uses the Alexa personal assistant to perform numerous tasks via simple voice controls.
You can ask your Echo to play music, turn on the lights, ramp up the heating or remind you of any events that are planned in your diary.
Timers can be set, weather reports announced and daily news briefings can let you know what is going on around the world.
The Echo is now fully compatible with a range of music services meaning anyone with an Apple Music, Spotify or Amazon Prime Music account can listen to their playlists and favourite songs without touching their smartphones.
If you don’t have a music subscription then there’s good news as Amazon has just pushed out an update which offers some audio for free.
Those who do not have a Prime membership or Amazon Music Unlimited subscription can now listen to an ad-supported selection of “top playlists and stations” free of charge.
Audio will be played through Amazon Music on all Echo devices.
Here are a few examples of commands users can now give their device for free music, “Alexa, play the playlist Pop Culture” to hear the ultimate global playlist for today’s pop music” or ”Alexa, play 80s music” to hear a station filled with music from the era.”
Along with these voice options here’s 15 more new things to ask Alexa.
